we like snow. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() First time sledding, Thanksgiving Day, 2007 { Thursday, November 29, 2007 | Comment # } ![]() We had to shovel this morning, mostly because we get a large snow bank at the end of the driveway even when there is very little snow. Predictably, Samuel was eager to help with the shoveling. I really hope he continues to want to help with all kinds of manual labor when he's a teenager. We're spending thanksgiving in Concord with Gran, Grandad, Sarah, and Shaun. We hope all of you have a wonderful holiday. { Wednesday, November 21, 2007 | Comment # } ![]() Tunnels are fun. { Tuesday, November 20, 2007 | Comment # } ![]() Samuel likes making coffee as much as we like drinking it. { Saturday, November 17, 2007 | Comment # } ![]() Tonight Samuel sat through a full reading of We're Going on a Bear Hunt, which is a good story made even better by his reaction to it. The story ends with everyone running away from the bear, back into the house, up the stairs, into bed, and then diving under the covers. We did the covers part for real, and he wanted it over and over again, even flipping to that page in the book to make his point clear. This had Beth and I barely able to breathe we were laughing so hard. Maybe not the best before-bed story, but on the other hand, probably one of our best before-bed story times ever. If you don't know the story, you can watch it acted out here. { Thursday, November 15, 2007 | Comment # } ![]() We didn't name this little guy Gary, but Gary/Garyanna II is on the way. That's right, Samuel is going to become a big brother this May 11th. Beth, who is always right when it comes to guessing the gender of our children, thinks we're having a girl. By default, I have to think it's a boy. We won't be finding out, but you can let us know if you think we're having a little Gary or Garyanna. Nana has already purchased yarn for a pink blanket, so you know what she thinks. Note: for the original "Gary" discussion, see the comments of this post, when we first introduced Samuel. { Monday, November 12, 2007 | Comment # } ![]() Getting ready to go get Nana at the airport. { Saturday, November 10, 2007 | Comment # } ![]() These boots were Beth's when she was just a little cowgirl. Beth's aunt Jennie found them and brought them up to us for Sam to play with. { Tuesday, November 06, 2007 | Comment # }
