 Samuel had a wonderful Christmas morning. Here he is enjoying his Bumbo and cloth book from Auntie Maryanna. We're about to have a small family outing to Barnes & Nobel to spend the gift certificates that Nana and Papa got for all of us. Samuel is going to have plenty of books to read when we get home but he's going to miss his Nana to reading them to him:  (This is also from Christmas morning.) { Tuesday, December 26, 2006 | Comment # }  We took the train to Virginia for Christmas, which was so much better than driving. Samuel slept almost the entire trip, and I was able to spend the trip making a nice dent in my correcting load.  It's time for year-end lists, so I'm going to tell you about some of my favorite music from the year. My apologies for a non-Samuel post... but he will be celebrating Pretend Christmas with the Morrill family today, and that should lead to some cute photos for tomorrow. Because I only buy music in December when I get gift certificates, my sampling of the year's music is limited to teaser tracks people post on websites and cds that friends and co-workers give me. Because I haven't heard many full albums yet, I'll give you my favorite tracks from the year. This list just so happens to perfectly fit on one compact disc, so if you'd like to hear this list just let me know.
