![]() Sutton, New Hampshire (Nikon CoolPix 4500) We enjoyed a very thankful Thanksgiving at Marge's in Holliston. We would have been even more thankful if Linda had made room in her van for some homebrew, but we forgive her.Work on the bathroom continues. Above you see the cedar boards we're using for trim. The cedar trim might become my favorite part of the new bathroom -- I really love the color and the character of the wood. If you want to see more of what we have been up to, you can head here to see eight brand new photos of our progress (notice that the walls have been primed). The link takes you to a set of photos called "Bathroom Remodel" on my Flickr site. I'll let you know if we add more photos of the bathroom over there. { Sunday, November 27, 2005 | Comment # } ![]() Sutton, New Hampshire We can't wait for Thanksgiving break and using the time to relax and move a little closer to out goal of being done by Christmas. It used to be joke, but now I think that is a realistic end-date for this "small" home renovation project. We saw Dan, Ann, & Sadie this weekend (Dan took Beth and me to see The Hold Steady) and Ann asked me to post lots of pictures of the bathroom, so I'll do that soon.Happy Thanksgiving. We're looking forward to seeing some of you in Massachusetts for the Morrill gathering. { Sunday, November 20, 2005 | Comment # } ![]() Sutton, New Hampshire (Nikon CoolPix 4500) Today's photo is from Friday morning, which we spent exploring the woods around the house. We'll be heading out again today. But the big news is...The shower is done! And the floor tile has been laid! (See the progress here.) We've only this left: - Grout the floor - Tape the wall seams - Install the sink - Paint That doesn't seem like that much after all we've been through so far. You know, I never took a "before" picture of the bathroom. Beth started painting our front door yesterday, but she stopped about half-way through. We had decided on "St. Lucia Skies", and then realized that the blue was a bit too... electric. Take a look. We're going to try "Webster Green" next. Picking colors is really hard. If Webster Green doesn't work, perhaps we'll have all of you choose for us. { Sunday, November 13, 2005 | Comment # } |
