Summer vacation continues...

Hello from Colorado. We are in Monument, CO right now, staying with family friends of the O'Neill's. Yesterday we drove up Pike's Peak and ate some of their famous donuts. The scene on top is remarkably similar to the scene atop Mount Washington, just 8,000-ft higher. Today we're planning a short day hike to stretch the legs and breathe some unconditioned air. Earlier in the trip we visited, in order, The Jimmy Morrills in Healdsburg, CA, Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park, and Arches Nat'l Park. All were wonderful, and the Utah Parks were hot. 112 degrees in Arches. We hit the road again tomorrow, hoping to go through Fort Collins, CO and visit New Belgium Brewing Company. From there, we might head up into the Great Lakes region if we have time.
