We got back home from out New Hampshire visit at about 12 a.m. Sunday night after a long day traveling. The beginning and the end of they day were the worst. We started out by waiting in 3 lines at Logan before finally finding the correct place to check-in, and finished the day waiting 30-minutes for our bus to come (which isn't that bad, unless you've been on a plane all day and it's 11 p.m. and you just want to get in bed).

But the visit home was great. Beth and I hadn't been back to New Hampshire in almost 2 years, and it was good to see all our New England family and friends. It was more than good. Beth is itching to get back for good, if that makes anyone feel better. I still feel like we have more to do in Oregon, so we'll see what happens.

The highlight of the week was, of course, Dan and Ann's wedding in Hanover on the 10th. It was a gorgeous NH day, and spirits were high. The ceremony was short and sweet (very sweet), and the celebration that followed... let's just say I lost my tuxedo coat, broke a cuff-link, and danced all night long.

The other high points...

Morrill-O'Neill party on Monday. I think someone counted 27 people. We spent the day swimming and eating, in true Morrill style.

Welch-Dicky hike with Hiram, Pip, Roberta, and the Sturman family. We had good weather, and the views were outstanding. Little Emily and Leah did the whole thing with out complaining. (OK, they threatened to kill their uncle Hiram, but we let it slide.)

Seeing Megan (one of Beth's UNH roommates) and meeting her boyfriend.

Visiting our friends from Virginia Tech at Krista Marschner's house in Wolfborro, NH.
