Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family!
Enjoy the holiday and hopefully, we'll be talking to all of you SOON to introduce our new little one.

The Sports Guy has a cartoon! It's pretty funny.

Also - a throne made of AOL CDs. Why didn't I think of that?

Jeff Tweedy is great:
A piece of art is not a loaf of bread. When someone steals a loaf of bread from the store, that's it. The loaf of bread is gone. When someone downloads a piece of music, it's just data until the listener puts that music back together with their own ears, their mind, their subjective experience. How they perceive your work changes your work.

Dan wrote on an exam:
"Promoters require activators like CAP because not every promoter has a perfect consensus -35 and -10 sequence for the sigma subunit to bind. Activators stabilize RNA polymerase binding and allow it to form an open complex at at less than perfect -35, -10 sites."

Dan's professor wrote in response:
"Beautiful, thank you. You are the first person in my first 20 exams years or so to word this precisely correct."

I write in this blog:
"What you talkin' about, Willis?"

Most of the time, living in New Hampshire feels pretty normal. And then, on my way to work today, I see a guy putting up a big sign on his lawn that syas "Expert Deer Cutting, call ###-####". I think that means if you shoot a deer, this guy will cut it up for you. Right?

Monkey Diving. Disturbing, yet fun!

The Baby Blog has arrived.

This would be even funnier if it wasn't true.

Yes, I realize it's lame that my only blog posts involve links to The Onion.

At least The Onion is still funny. "God Puts His Tool Back in Office" indeed.

Maybe I shouldn't have said this.
