Kristen Lazarian

Kristen Lazarian is an award-winning playwright based
in Los Angeles who has had her full-length and short plays produced,
workshopped and stage-read at many venues in L.A. including the Geffen
Playhouse, First Stage, East-West Players, Theatre Geo, the Complex, and the
Road Theatre. Her plays have also been staged across the United States,
including New York City. She has had productions internationally in Holland,
England, Australia, and Canada. Kristen has numerous publishing credits including an
excerpt of her play Love Like Blue featured in Best Stage Scenes of 1999 (Smith & Kraus); her one-act play Sophisticated Barflies translated
and published in Dutch; and The Way
We Say Goodbye excerpted from a series of monologues she wrote and
performed in the Laguna Review. In addition to writing plays, Kristen is a published
theatre critic and poet. She has also
written for television animation. Kristen is a member of the Dramatist Guild, the
Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, and the International Centre for Women
Playwrights. She is married to actor and voice over artist
Richard Horvitz. They have three sons. |
