WHITE PETALS: CATHERINE DE MEDICI’S RISE TO POWER
Catherine, Queen of France and Diane de Poitier, the King’s older mistress vie for Henry II’s love amid the turmoil of the sixteenth century’s religious intolerance. When Henry dies in a jousting tournament, a battle for power erupts in the French court.

Multiple scene changes
Three powerful roles 5 women (ages 20 to 55), 4 men (ages 20 to 65) 
Running time: 1 hour 45 minutes

  • Community theatre production (memorized script; minimal production values) at Footlighters Theatre in Berwyn, PA in June 1998.

HOLD THE MUSTARD

A fast-paced, full-length comedy about a woman who juggles a fast-track career while raising three sons. When events push her to reexamine her life, she discovers that commitment can mean difficult choices.


     Single set.
     2 women (ages 20 to 40), 2 men (ages 30 to 40), 3 boys (ages 9, 12, and 14).
     Running time: 1 hr. 50 min.

  • HOLD THE MUSTARD was selected by the 4th International Women's Playwrighting Conference for a reading of exerpts at the 1997 conference in Galway, Ireland. 
  • Finalist in the 1997 Jewel Box Theatre Playwrighting Competition in Oklahoma City 
  • Staged reading at the Brick Playhouse Philadelphia ~ 1996

BRAID MY HAIR
A one-act play where a woman confronts her past divorce as she counsels a friend and braves a new romance.


     Single set.
     2 women (ages 20 to 50), 1 man (age 20 to 50).
     Running time: 45 min.

     Credits

  • First performed under Eble's direction in 1993 at the West Chester and Barleysheaf Players One-Act Play Festival in Lionville, PA.
  • Won Best Female Actress and Best Supporting Actor Awards at West Chester and Barleysheaf Players One-Act Play Festival in Lionville, PA.
  • In November 1993, Braid My Hair was videotaped for public access television at FCAC Channel 10, Fairfax, VA and was produced as one in a series of community theater presentations.


     
MEGAN, COME HOME
A mother finds a suicide note from her teenage daughter and spends the night waiting and hoping.


     Single set.
     1 woman (age 30 to 50).
     Running time: 12 minutes.

     Credits

  • Eble directed a full production in the West Chester and Barleysheaf Players One-Act Play Competition in Lionville, PA in 1994. 
  • The piece has also had a reading in 1997 at the Brick Playhouse in Philadelphia.


     
BRUNO'S LEAVING TOWN
An American plant manager is confronted by plant workers about moving their U.S. plant site to India.


     Single set.
     1 woman (age 40 to 60), 3 men (ages 20 to 60).
     Running time: 25 min.

VERA TAKES HER SEAT
In this 10-minute comedy Vera decides that she will sit a the head of the table. Her family is dumbfounded since her husband, Herb, has claimed that seat as his own for the entire 41 years of their marriage. 
     
Single set. 
3 women (ages 60, 40, and 15), 2 men (ages 60 and 40).
Running time: 10 minutes.

PARADISE DANCE

This 10-minute drama explores the fantasy world that a man has created around his
relationship with an exotic dancer. 

     Single set. 
     1 woman (age 20 to 35), 2 men (ages 20 to 40).
