Unearthed Gamehendge Art

I recently was poking around the phish.net ftp site and I discovered some wonderful Gamehendge art that I had never noticed before. It is located in the "unknown" directory and encoded in the MacBinary format, which is probably why the ftp administrator didn't know what these files were. They were all uploaded in March, 1995, probably in response to the "call for artists" that was posted on the Gamehendge section of the phish.net web site at the time. The author was a mystery for a long time.

Well, I finally found out who created these pictures. His name is Bill Yudichak. He sent me the following e-mail message in response to this page:

Hello!
My name is Bill Yudichak (William Steven Yudichak). Well I was
surfing the web tonight and came across this page and much to my
surprise I almost fell off my chair when I saw my artwork. I haven't
seen those pictures in along time and frankly think they are pretty
awful, but I am usually my worst critic. As you have guessed, it was
in response for the "call for artists" a couple of years back. I was
under the impression that many people would submit work. Maybe I was
the only one and that could be the reason the project never got off the
ground. I have really grown as an artist since then and was hoping to
redo most if not all of the pieces if the project got started again. I
did wonder why the leader of the project wanted the pieces scanned at
300 dpi instead of 72 but I was just following the directions that were
given.
You can continue to show the artwork on your page but maybe include
a disclaimer or something that says people can only use it for private
use and can't make money off of any of it. Thank you for the generous
comments about my work. I am glad to see someone make good use of it.
Also I created a piece for Llama that I don't see on your page. Maybe I
didn't upload it, I can't remember, it was quite a while ago. But
anyways you can't imagine my surprise when I saw this! Thanks again!

    Bill Yudichak

So there you have it. Do not use these pictures for profit or public use. Contact Bill at wsy4555@ritvax.isc.rit.edu if you have any questions, comments or praise about his artwork. All of the pictures presented here are © 1998 Bill Yudichak.

Before we get to the pictures, I want to explain that all of them have been reduced from 300dpi to 72 dpi, to better fit your screen and your hard drive. If you want the larger versions, download them from the ftp site.

Just in case you need to refresh your memory, here are the lyrics to The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday.

On to the pictures (all in .jpg format):
